Amanda E. Miller, 87, of Shipshewana, died at 9:00 am on Monday, September 27, at her residence. She was born on June 3, 1934 in LaGrange County to Enos and Ida (Yoder) Miller.
Surviving are two brothers, Harley Miller and Jerry (Ruby) Miller of Shipshewana; two sisters, Ida Mae Bontrager of Shipshewana, Anna (Mervin) Mast of LaGrange and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ezra and Vernon Miller; two sisters, Wilma Bontrager and Alma Beechy.
Amanda was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 28, and all day Wednesday, September 29, at the Vernon Bontrager residence, 9180 W. 100 S., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Thursday, September 30, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Glen Yoder and the home ministers. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is in charge of arrangements.

September 15, 1947 - November 18, 2021
Amos R. Miller, 74, of Goshen, died on Thursday, November 18 at Goshen Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born on September 15, 1947, in Goshen, to Robert and Lizzie (Hershberger) Miller. On October 19, 1967, in Middlebury, he married Polly Ann Bontrager, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are three sons, Vernon Ray (Naomi Sue) Miller of LaGrange, David Lee (Darlene Kay) Miller, Marlin Dean (Ruby Arlene) Miller both of Goshen; four daughters, Velda Fern (William) Miller, Katie Irene (Norman) Mishler both of LaGrange, Carolyn Sue (Elva) Bontrager, Barb Miller both of Goshen; 31 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, John R. (Ada) Miller of Sturgis, MI; three sisters, Edna R. Miller of Goshen, Katie R. Bontrager of Middlebury, Wilma R. (Leroy) Yoder of Eldorado Springs, MO; sister-in-law, Melinda Miller of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Ida Whetstone; granddaughter, Erma Fern Miller; four brothers, Freeman Miller, William Miller, Enos Miller, Levi Miller; sister, Lydia Ann Miller.
Amos was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was a retired farmer and was ordained as a minister on October 13, 1991.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 20 and all day Sunday, November 21 at the Jeryl Bontrager residence 12171 CR 34, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, November 22, also at the residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Enos Jr. Mullett and the home ministers. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is handling the arrangements.

Anna Miller, 84, of Arthur, IL passed away at 10:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Arthur Home.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the HCK West Building, one mile south of Arthur, IL. Bishop Nelson Diener will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be held any time after 3:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the HCK west building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Anna was born on August 27, 1936 in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter of Dan A. and Lena M. (Schrock) Miller.
Survivors include seven siblings, Menno Miller and his wife Lorene (Plank) of Arcola, IL, Verna Schlabach and her husband Daniel of Atwood, IL, Elmer Miller of Lovington, IL, Willis Miller and his wife (Katie) Schrock, Omer Miller and his wife Nancy (Miller), and Merle Miller and his wife Jane (Reece) all of Arthur, IL, one sister-in-law, Mary (Yoder) Miller of Sullivan, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Amzy Miller and Ervin Miller and two sisters-in-law, Katie Marie (Yoder) Miller and Susan (Yoder) Miller.
Anna had worked at Country Salvage Store and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Miller, Anna D. Mast

Anna D. Miller, 89, of Goshen, died at 7:25 pm, on Friday, June 18 at her residence. She was born on March 26, 1932, in LaGrange, to Dan H. and Lydia (Schrock) Mast. On November 25, 1961, in Goshen she married Clarence L. Miller; he died November 1, 2013.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol (Lavon) Bender of Goshen, Meribeth Miller of AL, Suann (Clete) Miller of Sarasota, FL; son, Jay Mark (Charnelle) Miller of Myakka City, FL; six grandchildren, Cory (Emily) Bender, Justin (Cassie) Miller, Ashley Miller, Kaelin (Aaron) Porter, Nick Miller, Lexi Miller; three step grandchildren, Meagan Winsor, Mallorie Smith, Madison Crosby; nine great-grandchildren, Trey, Madison, Rhev, Paislee, Finley, Riley, Oakley, Callie Ann, and Harper; five sisters, Mary Stoltzfus of Goshen, Edna (Wayne) Schrock of Catlett, VA, Wilma Lelek of Opelika, AL, Elma (Ervin) Bontrager of Goshen, Fran (Craig) Lucius of Denver, CO; two brothers, Freeman (Fannie) Mast of Utica, OH, Elva (Jean) Mast of Goshen; sister-in-law, Edna Mast of Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three granddaughters; sister, Viola Mast-Wickey; three brothers, Jerry, Henry, and Harley Mast.
Anna was a member of Woodlawn (Mennonite) Church. Anna was a homemaker, “domestic engineer” and a farm wife. Her mission in life was all about taking time for people. She enjoyed spending winters in Pinecraft, Florida with her husband.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, June 21 and 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 -8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22 at Woodlawn Church, 62861 CR 41, Goshen. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Wednesday, June 23 also at the church. Services will be conducted by the Woodlawn Church Pastors. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Goshen.

Anna H. Miller, 90, of Abbeville, SC, died at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, November 14, at her daughter’s residence in Goshen. She was born on September 7, 1931, in Berne, IN, to Christian and Susan (Hilty) Schwartz. On March 8, 1951, in Hartville, OH, she married Leander Miller; he died August 4, 2006.
Surviving are four daughters, Susan (Yost) Miller of Goshen, Esther (Glen) Miller of Middlebury, Ruth (Delbert) Miller of Centreville, MI, Becky (John) Mast of Bergton, VA; eight sons, Mike (Esther) Miller of Guys Mills, PA, Reuben (Mary) Miller of Abbeville, SC, Lee (Delores) Miller of Sarasota, FL, Dave (Diana) Miller of Westminster, SC, Larry (Ann) Miller, Wayne (Monica) Miller both of Sarasota, FL, Nathan (Dorcas) Miller of Cochranton, PA, Dale (Mariann) Miller of Delta, CO; 54 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, 13 step great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, two step great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Chris Schwartz of Decatur, John (Esther) Schwartz of Monroe; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Beachy of IL, Betty Schwartz of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son-in-law, Alvin Stutzman; granddaughter, Wanda Renee Miller; sister, Leah Schwartz; four brothers, Joe, Amos, Jake, and Sam Schwartz.
Anna was a member of Cold Springs Mennonite Church. She was a homemaker who had a servant’s heart and loved to cook.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 17 at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, 13513 State Road 4, Goshen, IN. There will also be visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, November 19 at Cold Springs Mennonite Church, 168 Cold Springs Church Road, Abbeville, SC 29620. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 20 also at Cold Springs Mennonite Church. Services will be conducted by the Cold Springs Mennonite Church Ministerial team and Anna's sons. Burial will be in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Honea Path, SC. Memorials may be given to Cold Springs Mennonite Church.
Miller, Barbara Mae Miller
August 21, 1935 - January 7, 2021
Barbara Mae Miller, 85, of Goshen, formerly of Topeka, died at 10:15 pm, on Thursday, January 7 at Greencroft Health Care Center, Goshen. She was born on August 21, 1935 in Kalona, IA, to Levi C. and Sarah Ann (Schrock) Miller. On September 1, 1955 in Jamesport, MO, she married Ezra S. Miller; he died June 7, 2015.
Surviving are three daughters, Susie Marie (Levi, Jr.) Yoder, Sarah Irene Myers both of Topeka, Mary Eileen Miller of LaGrange; two sons, Kenneth Eugene (Linda Jo) Miller of Topeka, Keith Allen Miller of New Paris; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Sadie Elliot of Columbia, MO; three brothers, Chris Miller of Anabel, MO, Harvey Miller of Goshen, Levi (Rosa) Miller Jr. of Seymour, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four sisters, Mattie Mast, Polly Mast, Edna Chupp, Susie Miller; one brother, Joe Miller.
Barbara was a member of Townline Mennonite Church. She was a homemaker and did house cleaning. She loved camping and attending Westview High School boy's basketball games. Barbara also enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, January 11 and one hour prior to the 10: 00 am funeral service on Tuesday, January 12 at Townline Mennonite Church, 2165 S. 1000 W. Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Pastors Dean Yoder and Garrett Martin. Burial will be in Townline Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorials may be given to World Missionary Press or The Arc of LaGrange County. Anyone attending the services is encouraged to wear a face covering.
Miller, Bertha May Stauffer
July 30, 1924 - October 11, 2021
Bertha May Stauffer Miller, of Goshen, left this earth Monday, October 11, 2021 at 1:10 p.m. at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen Indiana surrounded by her oldest daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Steve Ketcham, and oldest grandchild, Larry Kemp Jr. She was 97. She married Vernon U. Miller on January 1, 1946 and they traveled to Sarasota, Florida for their honeymoon. Vernon preceded Bertha in death on March 26, 2006 after 60 years of marriage.
Miller was born July 30, 1924 to Ivan and Ruth Stauffer near Wakarusa, Indiana, where she lived much of her life, but also lived near Middlebury, Indiana, and Blountstown, Florida. She had an older sister, Florence Stauffer Yoder, and younger brother, Paul Stauffer, both deceased. Her father died when she was 28 from a car accident and her mother died in June 1991 at the age of 95.
Miller was a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church and earlier, Holdeman Mennonite near Wakarusa. After graduating from a business school and working as a secretary during WW II, Bertha happily became a homemaker and farmer’s wife, and later cleaned houses for many years. Together Bertha and Vernon hosted Country Bed and Breakfast on CR 36 near Wakarusa, enjoying visitors from all over the world. They also traveled around the world in 1967 visiting countries ranging from Holland to France to Israel to Vietnam and more, visiting locations which received grain donations from CROP (Christian Rural Overseas Program) in which they were active. While living in North Florida, they helped open a mobile home manufacturing business and farmed.
Bertha enjoyed quilting for MCC Relief Sales, traveling, volunteering in South Texas, reading, acting in the Curtain Raisers senior drama group and volunteering at Greencroft as a reader to residents and serving at the visitor’s desk. Most recently, she graded Home Bible Studies lessons for incarcerated men and women through the Gospel Echoes organization.
Surviving are four children with spouses: Nancy Ketcham (Steve), Wakarusa; Linda “Pert” Shetler (Kathy Duford); Calabash, North Carolina; Melodie Davis (Stuart), Harrisonburg, Virginia and Terry Miller (Debbe), Altha, Florida; eleven grandchildren: Larry Kemp Jr., Bob Kemp, Katie Gross, Scott Kemp, Brian Ketcham, Jodi Ketcham, Michelle Sinclair, Tanya Sparks, Doreen Tadde, Jamie Miller, Jeremy Miller, and numerous great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. celebration of life service at North Goshen Mennonite Church.
Burial will be private, arranged through Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to CROP Hunger Walks, a program of Church World Service; or Gospel Echoes Team Prison Ministry in Goshen.
Miller, Carmen Strite
August 31, 1954 - February 23, 2021
Carmen Strite Miller, 66, of Harrisonburg, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at the University of Virginia Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer, thirteen days after the birth of her first grandchild, Imogen Mae Miller. Carmen was born Aug. 31, 1954, in Harrisonburg, the daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel Mae Showalter Strite.
Carmen was born a natural leader and organizer. In addition to the impeccable way in which she managed her household, she offered countless hours of volunteer leadership to her church and community. Her degree in economics from Goshen College in Indiana guided her commitments. As a member of Park View Mennonite Church, Carmen chaired their Finance Committee. She chaired the Board of Directors at Eastern Mennonite School, her alma mater, and served on the Boards of Directors for Park View Federal Credit Union, Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, Sentara RMH Foundation, and Massanutten Regional Library.
Carmen invested the best of her life in her family. Nothing was as important to her as her husband of 42 years, Edgar Miller, and their two daughters Caitlin (Andrew Ickes) and Courtney (Dirk Miller). Carmen and Edgar’s home has been a hub of hospitality, where good food and quick wit prevailed. To say Carmen was a good cook is a vast understatement. She loved new recipes and honored traditional food, equally at home making Spanish paella and Virginia country ham, and she and Edgar served meals with attention to detail. Their table was at the heart of many significant conversations and relationships, including those of her family — her sister, Elaine Strite (John Viste) and her brother, Gerald (Sharon) Strite and their children — and their beloved Supper Club, who met weekly for over 40 years. Carmen was like a second mom to many of her daughters’ friends, and they too found a place at her table.
Her keen eye made her an excellent quilter, birder, golfer, gardener, reader and travel buff. Carmen loved to shop for fabrics while on vacation and created stunning quilts. Precision and passion ruled her quilting practice. She especially enjoyed sewing at the family cabin on Shenandoah Mountain where she would listen for whippoorwills, enjoy the beauty of the mountain laurel and watch for black bears. Evenings on the mountain found her with a book in hand — a novel, a book of poetry, or a travel guide.
Quilting fed her roots; travel grew her wings. Nurtured by childhood travels, Carmen was always waiting for the next adventure. From the mountains of Switzerland to the power of the Amazon, from the Christmas markets of Germany to the Pyramids of Egypt, Carmen delighted in sharing stories and photos of new landscapes, famous buildings and lovely surprises.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Park View Mennonite Church with Pastors Phil Kniss and Paula Stoltzfus officiating. The sanctuary will be closed to the public. The service will be live streamed at: www.pvmchurch.org/carmenstritemiller.
Interment will be private at Trissels Mennonite Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Park View Mennonite Church. Face coverings will be required at all times, and strict COVID protocol will be observed.

Dallas Ephraim Miller, 10 week old infant of Keith and Jane (Lambright) Miller, of Shipshewana, died at 9:06 am on Friday, December 24, at his residence. He was born at 12:37 pm on October 13, 2021 in LaGrange.
Survivors in addition to his parents are grandparents, David and Loretta Miller of Shipshewana and Marvin and Erma Lambright of Topeka; great-grandparents, Ferman and Barbara Wingard of Shipshewana; great-grandmother, Anna Lambright of Topeka; step great-grandmother Laverda Miller of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Orva and Ella Miller, Orva and Elma Miller and Leland Lambright; his uncle, Ferman Lambright.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the Glen Miller residence, 6755 West State Rd. 120 Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Sunday, December 26, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop David Schwartz and the home ministers. January 15, 1939 - July 10, 2021
Eli L. Miller of Kokomo, Indiana, 82 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 10, 2021, at 7:25 a.m. at his residence. He was born Jan. 15, 1939, in Arcola, Illinois, to Levi and Lydia (Otto) Miller. On Dec. 18, 1939, he married Edna Hostetler in Arcola, Illinois. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; five sons, Joe (Esther), Marvin Ray (Doris), Homer Jay (Rosie), Richard Allen (Norma) and John Edward (Rosann); five daughters, Ruth Ann (Clarence Bontrager), Rosemary (Lavern Miller), Betty (Wayne Hochstetler), Lydia Mae (Christy Bontrager) and Wilma Kay (Steven Hochstetler); 62 grandchildren and 81 great-grandchildren.
Eli was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers-in-law and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021, and all day Monday, July 12, 2021. Funeral service Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 9 a.m. at the Joe Miller residence, 3718 N. 700 East, Kokomo, Indiana. Hasler & Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Emily Nichole Miller, 10 day old daughter of Lavon and Laverda (Schrock) Miller, of Topeka died at 2:25 pm on Friday, November 5, at Dupont Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born on October 26, 2021, in Fort Wayne.
Surviving in addition to her parents are grandparents, Levi and Ruby Schrock, Lloyd and Ida Miller both of LaGrange; great-grandparents, Wilma Schrock, Jacob and Fannie Eash, Wilbur and Carolyn Miller all of Topeka, Leroy and Anna Marie Troyer of LaGrange; great-great grandmother, Edna Miller of Topeka; ten uncles, eight aunts and one cousin.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Eric Joel Miller and a great-grandfather, Perry Schrock.

Eric Joel Miller, seven day old son of Lavon and Laverda (Schrock) Miller, of Topeka, died at 3:11 am, on Tuesday, November 2 at Dupont Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born on October 26, 2021, in Fort Wayne.
Surviving in addition to his parents are twin sister, Emily Nichole Miller; grandparents, Levi and Ruby Schrock, Lloyd and Ida Miller both of LaGrange; great-grandparents, Wilma Schrock, Jacob and Fannie Eash, Wilbur and Carolyn Miller all of Topeka, Leroy and Anna Marie Troyer of LaGrange; great-great grandmother, Edna Miller of Topeka; ten uncles, eight aunts and one cousin.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Perry Schrock.

September 5, 1935 - June 30, 2021
Gilbert Lee Miller, 85, Nappanee, passed away peacefully on Wed., June 30, 2021, at his home. He was born Sept. 5, 1935 in Elkhart County to Moses J. and Maude Ellen (Hochstetler) Miller. He married Mary Kathryn Barkman on April 8, 1956, and they were married for 65 years.
Mary survives, along with children Marsha (Joas) Lambright, Wolcottville, IN, Ronald (Arlene) Miller, Nappanee, Leland Miller, Arizona, Jolene (Kenneth) Hochstetler, James (Jean) Miller, Lavon (Marlene) Miller, and Donna (Ivan) Miller, all of Nappanee; 34 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; brother John (Janalene) Miller, Bremen; and sisters-in-law Anna Marie Miller, Spencer, Wisconsin, and Katie Miller, Hartwell, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Mervin Dean Miller, great-granddaughter Kiara Miller, sister Linda Mae Miller, brothers Olen and Herman Miller, and infant siblings Mervin and Monroe Miller.
Gilbert was a member of the Old Order Amish Church where he was an ordained minister for 40 years. He was also a retired farmer and feed mill worker.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 1, 2021 after 2 p.m., and all day Friday, July 2, at Ivan Miller’s residence (390 2B Road, Nappanee). The funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 3, at 9:30 a.m., also at Ivan’s residence. The Home Ministry will officiate. Burial will follow at Weldy Cemetery.

Harley E. Miller, 93, of Shipshewana, died at 12:50 am, on Saturday, October 30 at his residence. He was born on May 23, 1928, in LaGrange, to Enos E. and Ida J. (Yoder) Miller. On December 21, 1950, in LaGrange County, he married Wilma D. Bontrager, she died February 18, 1993.
Surviving are daughter, Esther H. Miller of Shipshewana; two sons, Nelson Lee (Mary) Miller of Shipshewana, Jerry H. (Dorothy) Miller of Middlebury; son-in-law, Henry S. (Ella) Mast of LaGrange; 12 grandchildren, one step grandchild, 58 great-grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one step great-great grandchild; brother, Jerry E. (Ruby) Miller of Shipshewana; two sisters, Ida Mae Bontrager of Shipshewana, Anna E. Mast of LaGrange.

Harley M. Miller, age 84 of Nappanee, IN, passed away at 5:30 am, Monday, May 31, 2021 at Goshen General Hospital from natural causes. He was born December 16, 1936 in Nappanee, IN to Milo and Amanda (Hochstetler) Miller. On November 7, 1968, he married Lizzie Gingerich. Mr. Miller was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Lizzie of Nappanee, IN; children, Paul (Special friend, Rhoda Mc Coige) Miller, Steve (Jody) Miller both of Nappanee, IN, Marilyn (Nathan) Yoder of Milford, IN; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Christner of New Paris, IN, Mary Warburton of Colorado; and brother, Levi Miller of Nappanee, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roman, Lloyd and Mose Miller; brother-in-law, Sam Christner; and sister-in-law, Katie Miller.

Harvey E. Miller of Lincoln, MO, was born on March 18, 1926, to Ezra J. and Susie (Weaver) Miller at Middlebury, IN. He peacefully passed from this life on November 18, 2021, at the age of 95 years, 8 months.
Harvey was united in marriage to Mary (Miller) on August 4, 1946. Mary passed away on April 8, 2007.
At the time of his passing, he was a faithful member of the Fountain of Praise Christian Fellowship Church at Lincoln, MO.
On February 29, 2008, he married Rosemary Hostetler.

John E. Miller, 79, of Middlebury, died at 2:00 am on Saturday, March 13 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on July 28, 1941 in Cochranton, PA, to Eli and Elizabeth (Miller) Miller. On May 11, 1961 in Hartville, OH, he married Lydia Raber; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are four sons, Lyle (Lee) Miller of Goshen, Marion Miller of Tampa, FL, John Miller Jr. of Bristol, Stan Miller of Middlebury; daughter, Elsie (Dustin) Miller of Goshen; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Ruby) Miller of Goshen; sister, Mary Alice (Oren) Miller of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William and Nelson Miller.
John was an active member of Townline Mennonite Church for more than 50 years, serving as an elder, treasurer, and Sunday School teacher. He was involved with International Fellowship Haven in Haiti and served on the board for Hearts Alive. John was an entrepreneur and local business owner, retiring from J & L Cargo Express in Bristol. He enjoyed fishing and loved and cherished spending time with his family.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 18 at Townline Mennonite Church, 2165 S. 1000 W. Shipshewana. The family will hold a private funeral service. Services will be conducted by Pastors Dean Yoder and Mel Eash and Pastor Joel from Haiti. Burial will be in Townline Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorials may be given to International Fellowship Haven in Haiti.
Miller, John M.
September 13, 1978 - July 2, 2021
John M. Miller passed away on July 2, 2021, at the age of 42, the result of a plane crash while on a mission trip in the country of Haiti.
John, the oldest of eight children, was born in New York state to Moses and Mary Miller on September 13, 1978. On May 20, 1999 he married the love of his life, Saloma Hostetler, and they shared 22 wonderful years and seven children together. John loved and cherished his wife, adored his five daughters, and loved mentoring and working alongside his two sons. John was known for his gracious compassion to the weak and suffering, his steadfast resolve to stand for the truth no matter what it cost him, and above all his unwavering loyalty to Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Saloma; his seven children: David (19), Chrissie (18), Barbara (15), Ella (12), Martha (10), Marie (8), and Lydia Rose (4). He is also survived by his parents and four brothers and two sisters: Henry Miller (Martha), Chashton, WI; Daniel Miller, Georgia; Eli Miller (Susan), Kentucky; Ella Byler (Sam), WY; Andrew Miller (Anna), Coloma, WI; Sarah Mast (Danny), Chaseburg, WI, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John was preceded in death by his brother David Miller, and his grandparents.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. 10:00AM at Lighthouse Chapel in Richland Center, with Steve Simmons officiating. Jonas L. Miller, 83, of Hutchinson, KS, died at 7:45 am on Monday, August 9, [2021] at Freeman Bontrager residence, Millersburg. He had become ill while visiting this area. He was born on August 3, 1938 in Atlantic, PA, to Levi M. and Mattie E. (Byler) Miller. On September 26, 1958 in Greenville, PA he married Ruth Kauffman, she died January 17, 2011.
Surviving are son, Melvin (Elizabeth) Miller of Hutchinson, KS; daughter, Erma Marsh of Stephenville, TX; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; half-brother, Joe (Elva) Miller of Middlefield, OH; two half-sisters, Sadie Miller of Lewisburg, KY, Clara Miller of Middlefield, OH; two stepsisters, Fannie (William) Miller of Chaseburg, WI, Bill (Lizzie) Miller of Hazen, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and infant daughter, Esther Miller; two stillborn children; two brothers, Enos and Dan Miller; sister, Amelia Mullet; half-sister, Mary Ann Fry and stepmother Rosa Miller.
Jonas had been a farmer, worked in factories and most recently as a carpenter before retiring. He is a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Miller, Joseph Eugene
July 2, 1950 - March 2021
Joseph Eugene Miller, 70, of Lancaster, grew up in Bird-in-Hand and was the son of the late Fred E. and Mary (Martin) Miller. He attended Mennonite schools through college, including Locust Grove, Lancaster Mennonite High School and Eastern Mennonite College. He later moved to Philadelphia and enrolled at Temple University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Joe worked for many years as a nurse in various Philadelphia area hospitals. In later years, after returning to Lancaster, he worked in pain management at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.
After retirement, Joe volunteered at the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society. He had a long-time interest in genealogy and family history, and had traced his ancestry to his Amish and Mennonite roots to Europe. Other interests were stamp collecting, cooking, gardening, singing, and pottery.
A member of Community Mennonite Church of Lancaster, he was actively involved in various music and singing activities. He led congregational singing on Sunday morning. He also sang in the Music for Everyone community chorus. Contributions may be made in Joe's memory by visiting Music-for-Everyone.org.
Joe supported civil rights in general and LGBTQ rights in particular. He was an early member of the Brethren Mennonite Council for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Concerns, as well as Black and White Men Together. Joe married his long-term partner, Rob-Travis Jackson (divorced).

Katie A. Miller, 76, of LaGrange, Indiana, died on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
She was born on August 31, 1944, in Sturgis, Michigan to Andrew J. and Anna J. (Miller) Miller.
Katie was a production worker for the ARC of LaGrange County for the last 38 years. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her brother, Willard Miller of LaGrange; two sisters, Edna (William) Wengerd of LaGrange and Lydia Mae (Andrew) Wengerd of Whitehall, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Orpha Miller of Plymouth, Indiana and 30 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Roy Miller.
Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at the David Wengerd residence, 0785 S - 250 W, LaGrange and all day Wednesday, July 14th.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the David Wengerd residence with Bishop Richard H. Bontrager and home ministers officiating.
Burial will take place in Beechy Cemetery, LaGrange, IN.

Surviving are her parents, Kyle Gene and Marilyn Sue Miller; paternal grandparents, Roger Dee and Wanda June (Yoder) Miller, Nappanee; maternal grandparents, Norman E. and Katie C. Larry N. Miller, 69, of Wolcottville, IN died January 6, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Miller was born on March 29, 1951 in LaGrange, IN to Nathaniel N. and Mary (Miller) Miller.
Living his lifetime in LaGrange County, he worked for over 37 years for Pete’s Construction in Wolcottville, IN. Larry had served LaGrange County as a County Councilman for two terms and in 2012, he became a County Commissioner and was just beginning his 3rd term.
Larry was a member of the Emma Church in Topeka, IN. He was a passionate golfer and loved to play at Heron Creek in LaGrange, IN. He loved fishing with his grandson and taking his granddaughter for gator rides through the woods.
On November 25, 1977 in Wolcottville, IN he married Patti A. Graber; Mrs. Miller survives in Wolcottville, IN.
Also surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Ashley Miller of Elkhart, IN; a grandson, Penn Miller; a granddaughter, Ealyn Miller; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leanna and Ezra Schmucker of Nappanee, IN and Sara and John Wingard of Topeka, IN.
Preceding Mr. Miller were his parents, and a sister, Loretta Chupp.
Private family services will take place with burial at Shore Cemetery, in Shipshewana, IN.

Mrs. Miller was born on December 13, 1926 in Nappanee to John J. and Fannie (Yoder) Borkholder. On March 11, 1948 she married Earl J. Miller; he preceded her in death on December 27, 2007. Laura was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was a lifelong Nappanee area resident.

Leander V. “Lee” Miller, 85, of Elkton, passed away Friday, Aug. 13, 2021.
Mr. Miller was born Jan. 26, 1936, in Charm, Ohio, and was a son of the late John Henry and Emma (Schlabach) Miller.
Lee grew up in Hartville, Ohio, and spent two years in 1-W service in Flint, Mich., working for Goodwill Industries. His main occupation was home construction and he also farmed. Lee enjoyed serving the Lord in his home, church, in the Gideon’s ministry and traveling in the U.S.A. visiting his children in various states.
On Aug. 2, 1958, he married Eva S. Gerber, who survives.
Lee and Eva were the parents of five delightful children, Stephen, Gregory, Laurel, Cynthia, and Sondra; 10 wonderful grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Lee comes from a family of 11 siblings.
Our beloved son, Stephen, preceded him in death, along with one brother, three sisters, and a brother-in-law.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. at Dayton Mennonite Church in Dayton, Va. Burial will be held privately.

Leona C. Miller, 78, of Shipshewana, died at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 15, at her residence. She was born on June 2, 1943 in Centreville, MI, to Crist and Iva (Hochstetler) Miller. On April 8, 1965 in Bowling Green, MO she married Samuel J. Miller, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are two sons, Roman (Christine) Miller of Rock Springs, WI, Phillip Miller of Shipshewana; two daughters, Ruth (Jim) Stephanoff of Constantine, MI, Dena (Patrick) Nimmow of De Forest, WI; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six brothers and seven sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and a sister.
Leona was a homemaker and member of the LaGrange Baptist Church. She had a servant's heart and enjoyed cooking, painting, and visiting with family and friends. She had worked as an Certified Nursing Assistant and was the owner/operator of The Eaten House and Miller's Country Bakery both in Loganville, WI.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, December 17, at Shore Church, 7235 W 100 N Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 18, also at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Thurston Jones. Burial will be in Scott-Seybert Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Lisa Diane Miller, 33, of Middlebury, one of God's special children, died of complications from a heart defect at 9:34 am on Tuesday, November 2 at her residence. She was born on April 18, 1988, in Goshen, to Daniel and Katie (Schlabach) Miller.
Survivors in addition to her parents are sister, Karen (Danny) Miller of Goshen; three brothers, Jason (Laura) Miller of Titusville, FL, Dannie (Cathy) Miller, Myron (Debra) Miller both of Middlebury; five nephews, Bradley, Wesley, Theodore, Christopher, and Elliott; grandmother, Lucille (Schrock) Miller of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ervin and Fannie (Troyer) Schlabach and Rudy Miller.
Lisa worked at Crystal Hope Workshop for seven years and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

LYDIA MAE (DIENER) MILLER, 100 of Arcola, Illinois died at 8:16 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at The Arthur Home, Arthur, Illinois
Lydia was born in Moultrie County, Illinois on October 21, 1920, the third child of Obed A. and Anna (Mast) Diener. On September 17, 1942, she married Milton L. Miller who preceded her in death on September 19, 2009.
Lydia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Sunnyside Mennonite Church, Rural Arcola, Illinois.
In addition to her husband, Lydia was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings: Katie Ann Borntrager, Henry Diener, Andrew Diener, Jerry Diener, Lucy Otto, and Emma Bennett.
Survivors include six children: Anna Viola (Robert) Nolt of Stevens, PA; Betty Lorene Nevels of Maryville, TN; Carolyn Jane (Rodger) Gingerich of Larkspur, CO; Dorothy Fern (Dwayne) Hartman of Harrisonburg, VA; Ellen Marie (Gene) Damoth of Kodak, TN; Floyd Allen (Marilyn) Miller of Arcola, IL; a foster son, Virgil Dean Gilbert (Shannon) of Staples, MN; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; a brother Dannie Diener of Arthur, IL and two sisters, Fannie Gingerich of Lovington, IL, and Mary Mast of Myerstown, PA.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Otto Center in Arthur. Burial will follow at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Malinda Miller, 99, of Carrier Mills, IL, died Monday Oct. 11, 2021 at 9.40 p.m. in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec 2, 1921, to the late David O. and Amanda (Stutzman) Burkholder at Nappanee, IN. On May 2, 1948, she married Harold N. Miller at Nappanee, IN. He passed away Dec 17, 2005.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour in her youth. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother until her death. She was a member of the Carrier Mills Amish Mennonite Church of Carrier Mills, IL.
She is survived by one son, Harold Mark married to Betty (Chupp) Carrier Mills, IL and two daughters, Lea Ann married to John Borntrager Sebree, KY and Sara Jean married to Joe Borntrager Liberty, KY.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Paul Howard and his wife, Susan (Graber) and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann.

Marie Miller, 83, of Millersburg, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Hope Springs Manor in Goshen.
She was born October 9, 1937 in Rolette, North Dakota to Ezra and Gladys (Bontrager) Gingerich.
On September 30, 1956 she married Elroy G. Miller in Goshen at Clinton Frame Church, formerly Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. He died January 15, 2014.
Survivors include four children, Cheryl (Andy) Gall of New Paris, Lavonne (Joe) Warstler of Syracuse, Keith Miller and Diane (Dustin) Lockwood, both of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Viola (Ned) Miller and Carol (Gerald) Beachy, both of Goshen; a sister-in-law, Donna (Dan) Cole of Goshen; and a brother-in-law, Gene Bender of Middlebury.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by infants Carla Dawn and Dana Lee Miller; a granddaughter, Jessica Warstler; a sister, Geneva Bender; and a brother, Marvin Gingerich.
Marie was part of one of the first graduating classes at Bethany Christian High School in 1956. She was a member of Clinton Frame Church where she was active in the church’s sewing fellowship and the Caroliers singing group. Marie enjoyed volunteering at The Depot and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family appreciates the kind and thoughtful care Marie received while she was at Hope Springs Manor.
Visitation will be Monday, July 12, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 13 from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at Clinton Frame Church, 63846 C.R. 35, Goshen, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service. Pastor Julie Lehman and Marie's grandson, Brandon Gall will officiate.

Martha Miller, age 79, of Nappanee, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 9:11 pm, Thursday, August 26, 2021 at her residence after a 7-week battle with cancer. She was born November 19, 1941 in Goshen, IN to Daniel M. and Iona (Helmuth) Kuhns. Mrs. Miller lived her lifetime in the Nappanee area. On September 13, 1962, she married Wayne W. Miller in Nappanee. Martha was a housewife and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Marvin D. Miller, age 89, of Middlebury, formerly of Nappanee, died at 7:05 pm, Monday, November 15, 2021 at his residence. He had been in ill health for 1 ½ years. He was born May 11, 1932 in Nappanee to Roman E. and Mattie (Yoder) Miller.
Mr. Miller was first married to Frieda Mast January 24, 1952 in Nappanee. She preceded in death June 11, 2002. His 2nd marriage was to Lydia Mae Yoder on November 27, 2003 and she preceded him in death October 24, 2011.
Mr. Miller moved from Nappanee to Middlebury 18 years ago. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Miller, Nora Nissley
October 20, 1916 - February 1, 2021
Nora Nissley Miller, 104, departed this life early Monday evening, February 1, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. She had survived the 1918-19 pandemic and seemed poised to endure this one, but Covid was the cause of her homegoing, for which she had long prayed.
Nora was born October 20, 1916, to Harvey and Emma (Slaubaugh) Nissley in Hutchinson, Kansas. She married Alvin R. Miller (1917-2008) on November 2, 1937, near Nappanee, Indiana. They lived near Etna Green, Wakarusa, and Goshen. She and Alvin were members of the North Main Street Mennonite Church, Nappanee, Indiana. She was widely known for her shining gift of hospitality, making her recent isolation most troubling. She is also fondly remembered for her care for nieces and nephews, taking them into her home during family emergencies. Her occupations included farming and school food service.
She was predeceased by her husband, six brothers-Dan, Eli, Ira, Joe, Addona and Alvin (Sonny) Nissley and three sisters-Mattie Graber, Lydia Mullet, and Clara Mast.
Surviving are two sisters, Rosa (Herman) Miller of Spooner, Wisconsin, and Dorothy Miller of Goshen, Indiana, sister-in-law, Mary Nissley of Harrisonburg, VA, and more than 50 nieces and nephews.
An abbreviated viewing will take place 12:00-1:00 PM Wednesday at the Miller- Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main Street, Middlebury, Indiana. Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Mennonite Cemetery, corner of CR 38 and 11, Goshen, Indiana.

Ruth J. Miller, 89, formerly of East State Street, Lowville. NY passed away Monday morning, Feb. 15, 2021, at Menig Nursing Home, Randolph Center, Vermont.
She was born on Nov. 17, 1931, in Martinsburg, NY, a daughter of the late Aaron and Susan Ressler Jantzi.
Ruth graduated in 1950 from Lowville Academy and from The House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, NY, in 1954 with a degree as a Registered Nurse.
On Nov. 26, 1954, she married Howard D. Miller at Lowville Mennonite Church, with Rev. Lloyd Boshart officiating. Howard passed away Aug. 4, 2007.
She worked as a registered nurse at Lewis County General Hospital for many years, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of Lowville Mennonite Church and has been attending Taftsville Chapel Mennonite Fellowship, Taftsville, VT. Ruth loved God, her family and her church family.
Mrs. Miller is survived by a daughter and her husband, Carmeleta M. and David Beidler, White River Junction, Vermont; two sons and their wives, Howard D. and Cheryl Miller, Sinking Spring, PA, and Sven E. and Laurie Miller of New Holland, PA; a son-in-law, Dr. Tad Heinz, Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers and their wives, Mark and Rita Jantzi, Schenectady, and Daniel and Faye Jantzi, Lowville; a sister, Mary Smith, Lowville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Heidi M. Heinz; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Phyllis Jantzi, and Howard and Barbara Jantzi.

Samuel E. Miller, 83, of LaGrange, died peacefully at 12:33 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at his home.
He was born on March 21, 1938, in LaGrange to Emmery and Mary (Chupp) Miller.
Sam was a cabinet marker who operated the Miller Cabinet Shop and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
On October 24, 1957, he married Ruby Miller, she survives him.
Also surviving are his five sons, Kenneth and Waneta (Otto) Miller of LaGrange, Freeman and Erma (Miller) Miller of Montello, WI, Devon and Mabel (Yoder) Miller of Millersburg, OH, Monroe and Elsie (Hochstetler) Miller of Grand Junction, MI, Samuel, Jr. and Lydia (Schmucker) Miller of LaGrange; a daughter, Delila and David Stoll of Hillsboro, WI; 59 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren; two sister, Ida Schmucker of Shipshewana, Lizzie Ann Raber of LaGrange; two brothers, Levi (Joyce) Miller of Holly, MI, and Amos (Alta) Miller of LaGrange; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Yoder.
Preceding him in death are his parents; a daughter, Elnora; two brothers, Ervin Miller and Ora Miller; three sisters, Lydia Miller, Barbara Young and Edna Yoder; and a stillborn great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Lyle Hochstetler residence, 3585 E 300 S, LaGrange, IN with Bishop Wayne Slabach and home ministers officiating.

Shirley J. Miller, 83, of Shipshewana, died at 5:23 pm on Monday, January 25 at Elkhart General Hospital of complications from Covid-19. She was born on August 28, 1937, in Elkhart, to Harry and Grace (Schrock) Yoder. She graduated from Shipshewana High School in 1956. On June 27, 1959 she married Clyde Hochstetler; he died July 21, 1997. On February 19, 2000 she married James Miller; he died October 21, 2017.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Ken) Marks of Middlebury, Carla (Kent) Mishler of Howe; three sons, Brent (Angie) Hochstetler of Orland, Brian (Brenda) Hochstetler of Anderson, Brad (Julie) Hochstetler of Middlebury; four step daughters, Debbie (Chuck) Eide of Lawrenceburg, Beth (Craig) Helman of Topeka, Jean (Robbie) Dickens of Whitesville, KY, Joy (Curt) Crago of Markle; step son, Neil (Jasmin) Miller of Wolcottville; ten grandchildren, 13 step grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one on the way, six step great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Stan (Barb) Yoder of Angola; two sisters-in-law, Marolyn Yoder of Shipshewana, Jeannie Yoder of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands; parents; sister, Carolyn Waters; two brothers, Roger Yoder and Raymond Yoder, who died 20 hours after Shirley.
Shirley was a member of Shore Church where she had attended her whole life and was active in the sewing circle. She worked as a seamstress at Mastercraft in Shipshewana for 20 years and then at Jayco in Middlebury for six years, retiring in 2000. After her retirement, Shirley and her husband Jim delivered Meals on Wheels for a period of time and enjoyed visiting those who were homebound. She was especially active in visiting many folks in the nursing homes on a weekly basis, both those she knew and some she did not know. She became aware of those who had no visitors and made it a point to visit them also. Shirley's favorite hobby was sewing and over the years she became the go to person for many neighbors, church members, family, and friends whenever they needed anything mended or sewn. She also enjoyed teaching that skill to her granddaughters. Shirley had friends in every corner but her favorite thing of all was spending time with her many children and grandchildren and attending nearly all their events.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 6:00 pm on Saturday, January 30 at Shore Church, 7235 W. 100 N., Shipshewana. The family will hold a private funeral service. Services will be conducted by Pastor Carl Horner. Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana. The family and funeral home request anyone attending the visitation wear a face mask and observe social distancing. Thomas H. Miller, 95, of Middlebury, passed away at 1:45 pm, on Thursday, May 13 at his residence. He was born on April 2, 1926, in Elkhart County, to Henry and Sarah (Hochstetler) Miller. On March 20, 1949 he married Sarah E. Miller; she died October 7, 2003. On February 12, 2005 he married Naomi Bontrager*; she died December 21, 2020.
Surviving are three daughters, Beulah (Nelson) Hege of Broadway, VA, Naomi (Wayne) Gingerich of Plain City, OH, Sharon (Wayne) Yoder of Belvidere, TN; eight sons, James Miller of Goshen, Emanuel (Joann) Miller of Constantine, MI, Laban (Joyce) Miller of Goshen, Dan (Carol) Miller of Goshen, Alpha (Lauranna) Miller of Owenton, KY, Nathan Miller of Middlebury, Adin (Marisol) Miller of Middlebury, Paul Miller of Goshen; 33 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren; sister, Fannie Ellen (Amzie) Yoder of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Miller of Goshen, Katie Swartzentruber of VA; and his caregiver, Inez Hochstetler of Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by both of his wives; son, Mark Miller; grandson, Jalyn Miller, great-grandson, David Montelongo; three brothers, Jessie, Alpha, and Simon Miller; four sisters, Mary Bontrager, Ruth Beachy, Martha Swartzentruber, Leona Bontrager.
Thomas accepted Christ as his Savior in his youth and was a charter member of Woodlawn Mennonite Church. He was a farmer all his life and was very supportive of mission outreaches.

Wilma A. Miller, 77, of Middlebury, died at 7:45 pm on Saturday, December 4, at her residence. She was born on June 24, 1944 in LaGrange County to Amos U. and Fannie (Bontrager) Miller. On November 16, 1972 in LaGrange County she married Ora A. Miller, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are a son, Marlin Ray (Rosetta Sue) Miller; two daughters, Marilyn Kay (Noah) Petersheim and Linda Miller all of Middlebury; 16 grandchildren, one great grandson; four brothers, Levi (Mary Ellen) Miller of Nappanee, Harley (Anna) Miller of Nappanee, Eli (Elsie) Miller of Shipshewana, Alton (Susie) Miller of Millersburg; five sisters, Elizabeth (John) Knepp of Shipshewana, Anna (Mervin) Eash of Shipshewana, Edna (Lester) Yoder of Garnet, KS, Alta (Alvin) Yoder of Plymouth, Alma Miller of AZ; a brother-in-law, Raymond J. Miller of Wolcottville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lovina A. Miller and a brother-in-law, Sam Schrock.
Wilma was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Monday, December 6, and all day Tuesday, December 7, at the family's residence, 59279 CR. 33 Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 8, also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishops LaVerne J. Lehman and Nelson Gingerich and the home ministers. Burial will be in Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Goshen.
Mininger, H. Ray
October 24, 1940 - August 27, 2021
H. Ray Mininger, 80, a long-time resident of Franconia Township, PA, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at Peter Becker Community in Harleysville, PA. He and his wife, Nancy (Alderfer) Mininger, celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on June 26 of this year.
Born October 24, 1940, in Sellersville, PA, he was a son of the late Harold M. and Myrtle (Moyer) Mininger. He was class president of his 1958 graduating class at Souderton High School. He and Nancy served in 1-W alternative service for two years at Mary Hitchcock Hospital in New Hampshire.
Ray lived out his Christian faith in his work, church life, community service, and family time. He was the third generation to continue the building contractor business H. Mininger & Son, Inc. Some of his building project highlights include: Dock Mennonite Academy EC-8 campus, Rosenberger Cold Storage, numerous Univest Branches, Advent Lutheran of Lederach, Franconia Mennonite, Lansdale Presbyterian, Blooming Glen Mennonite, Frederick Mennonite, Grace Lutheran of Hatfield, Horsham Bible Church, St. Peters Lutheran of Hilltown, Redeemer Evangelical of Jamison, Royersford Baptist, St. Peters Lutheran of Hilltown, and many custom homes.
A current member of Grace Mennonite Church, Mr. Mininger was a former member of both Souderton Mennonite Church and Frederick Mennonite Church. He served on church council, taught Sunday School, led singing, sang in a quartet, church choirs and with Zion Choral. Known for his wisdom and thoughtfulness, he served on community boards including: LifePath of Penn Foundation, Frederick Living, Univest Bank & Trust Corp., and Care and Share Thrift Shoppes. He also served as a Little League baseball manager for the Harleysville Astros.
Papa was an avid gardener and hard worker. He cherished family time, especially eating Thursday suppers with his kids and grandkids and being together at the beach and the mountains.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Bronwyn Histand (Steve) of Sellersville, PA, Bryce Mininger (Dottie) of Telford, PA, and Berdine Leinbach (Steve) of Telford, PA; three sisters, Nancy Landes (Merrill), Carolyn Derstine (Mark), and Mary Benner (Steve), all of Telford, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Elena Histand (Jonathan Stuckey), Connor Histand (Summer Hasan), Drew Mininger (Brooke), Corrine Mininger (fiancé James Braunsberg), Lynelle Leinbach (Jared Zook) and Landon Leinbach, as well as three great grandchildren.
In light of current public health concerns, a private memorial service will take place at Grace Mennonite Church in Lansdale, PA. Karen Sue Mullet 54, of Sugarcreek, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2021 at the Cleveland University Hospital. Karen had a lung condition for 3 ½ years.
She was born on June 3, 1966 Sugarcreek, Tuscarawas, Ohio to Melvin J. and Elnora J (Yoder) Mullet who survive. Karen was a member of the Amish Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters and two brothers, Jo Ann (Calvin) Stoltzfus of Lewisburg, PA, Marion (Rachel) Mullet, Marcus (Monica) Mullet, and Amy (Josiah) Troyer, all of Sugarcreek.
Karen will be missed by her many close friends as well as her nieces and nephews who she loved dearly: Michael, Hannah, Janelle, Regina, Eric, and Kathi Mullet; Edwin Martin; Kyle (special friend Makayla), Austin, Karena, Rachelle, and Jeriah Stoltzfus; Carissa, Jenna, and Jaycee Troyer; and foster nieces Skylar, Grace, Harleigh, and Quarynn.
She was preceded in death by her nephew Jaylin Stoltzfus.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, at the Marion Mullet residence 1835 CR 70, Sugarcreek at 9:00 a.m. with Bishop James R. Troyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Marion Mullet residence after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and any time on Sunday.

Melvin J. Mullet, 78, of Topeka, died at 9:20 am on Monday, August 16, [2021] his residence. He was born on March 11, 1943 in Noble County to Jacob E. and Nettie (Miller) Mullet. On November 7, 1963 in Topeka he married Irene Troyer, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are daughter, Waneta (LeRoy) Yoder of Topeka; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Merle (Verna) Mullet of Montrose, CO; five sisters, Katie (Melvin) Yoder of Chouteau, OK, Vera Miller of Sarasota, Sara (Nelson) Shrock of Berrien Springs, MI, Mary (Dave) Yoder of Topeka, Polly (Perry) Miller of Shipshewana; special family friend, Alice Miller of Millersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Orla P. Miller and a special family friend, Alvin N. Miller.
Mel had worked in different area factories and was a farmer for most of his life. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 18, and all day Thursday, August 19, at the family’s residence, 7625 W. 650 S., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday, August 20, also at the family’s residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Ervin Lehman and the home ministers. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.
Mullet, Nora Ann Yoder
August 25, 1950 - February 20, 2021
Nora Ann Mullet 70, of Goshen went to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:50 p.m. Saturday February 20th at Goshen hospital while surrounded by her family. She had fought a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Nora was a very loving wife and mother who had a big caring heart for all. She was born on August 25, 1950 in Wolf Lake to Menno N. and Alice I. (Beechy) Yoder. On May 27th, 1978 in Middlebury she married Merle D. Mullet, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are son, Brian D. Mullet and daughter, Michelle L. Mullet both of Goshen; her mother of LaGrange; four brothers, Wilbur (Cindy) Yoder of LaGrange, Elva (Leola) Yoder, Daniel (Vera) Yoder of Millersburg and Mervin (Anna) Yoder of Goshen; two sisters Marie (Glen) Kuhns and Dorothy (Ben) Yoder of Middlebury; brother-in-law, Chris (Alice) Bontrager of Shipshewana; sister-in-law, Wilma Yoder of LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, DeWayne Yoder and sister, Mary Bontrager.
Nora was a custodian at First Mennonite Church and retired in 2013. Prior to that she was assistant manager at The Village Inn restaurant, Middlebury. She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Middlebury.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, February 26, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main Street Middlebury. The family and funeral home request that anyone attending visitation wear a face covering and maintain social distancing. The family will be holding private funeral services on Saturday. The services will be conducted by Pastors Phil Yoder and Kent Miller. Memorial contributions may be given to Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Middlebury Food Pantry. Vernon J. Mullet, 83, of Middlebury, died at 3:05 am on Friday, April 16 at Goshen Health Hospital, following a 10 year battle with dementia and complications from pneumonia. He was born on May 2, 1937 in Elkhart County, to Milo and Sue (Miller) Mullet. On October 27, 1957 in Middlebury, he married Ada Schrock she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Marsha (Dan) Gingerich of Middlebury, Marideth (LaMont) Miller of Twin Falls, ID two sons, Myron (Gloria) Mullet of Goshen, Merle (Yvonne) Mullet of Middlebury ten grandchildren, Brent (Ann) Olson, Carrie Mayer, Danelle Gingerich, Dion (Krista) Gingerich, Darrin Gingerich, Dwylin Gingerich, Luke (Megan) Miller, Audrey Miller, Bethany Mullet, Brooke Mullet eight great-grandchildren, Brandon and Malorie Olson, Kayla and Kayden Mayer, David, Anna, Rebecca, and Benjamin Gingerich sister, Edna Mullet of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents sister, Fannie (Mullet) Schrock brother, Gerald Mullet. Vernon attended Siloam Fellowship.
He was a lifelong mechanic, having owned Mullet's Garage for 35 years, and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a man of faith and was committed to Christ, his wife, and his family.
The family will hold a graveside service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 18 at Miller Cemetery, Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastor Vern Hostetler. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to World Missionary Press by sending to Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury.

LeRoy H. Mullett, 79, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of LaGrange passed away November 8, 2021, at the hospital in Tampa FL, following a lengthy illness. LeRoy was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was formerly employed at Detwilers Farm Market.
He was born on May 12, 1942, to Henry and Amanda (Borkholder) Mullett in Hicksville, Ohio. On November 14, 1963, LeRoy married Lizzie Ann Raber who preceded him in death. He later married Irene Hershberger on May 7, 2002.
In addition to his wife Irene, he is survived by six sons, Vernon (Leslie) Mullett of Cynthiana KY, Alfred (Rosetta) Mullett of Exeter MO, LeRoy Jr. (Juanita) Mullett of Gentry AR, Henry (Vera) Mullett of LaGrange IN, Howard Lee (Marlene) Mullett of LaGrange IN, Benedict (Brittany) Mullett of Frankfort KY; seven daughters, Miriam (Orva) Yoder of Rexford MT, Rachel (Levi) Bontrager of Monte Vista CO, Mattie Ellen Mullett of LaGrange IN, Nancy Ann Mullett of LaGrange IN, Amanda Marie Mullett of Frankfort KY, Esther (Wesley) Axson of Goshen IN, Oleta Mullett of LaGrange IN; 57 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers Henry Mullett Jr. of Milton IA and Alvin Ray Mullett of Monte Vista, CO. One sister Eva Amanda Shetler of Salem AR.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Lizzie Ann, two sons Wilbur and Jacob, his parents, six brothers Elmer, Alfred, Eli, Enos, Mahlon, Melvin and five sisters Lizzie, Sarah, Clara, Marie and Erma.
Visitation will be after 10:00 am on Thursday, Nov. 11 at the Henry Mullett Residence, 1355 W. 100 S. in LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday, Nov. 12 at the Harley F. Miller Residence, 1145 W. 100 S. in LaGrange. Services will be conducted by ministers Sam Schrock, Johnny Troyer and Enos Mullett, Jr. The family wishes to thank all family and friends for prayers and support during this time. Alvin H. Musser, 82, of Ephrata, entered into rest on April 8, 2021 at Wellspan Ephrata Hospital. Born in Chester County, he was the son of the late Henry and Lena Musser. He was the husband of Erma (Zeiset) Musser. On April 13th, they would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. He was preceded in death by a brother Nevin Musser. Surviving is a sister Edna Stoltzfus of Ephrata, three children, Shawn married to Amy, Tim married to Amber, and Sherri married to Alex, Laura, one of many foster children, and 8 grandchildren, Kathleen, Caleb, Natalie, Clayton, Elli, Aiden, Andrew, and Anthony.
Alvin was a man of faith who attended Village Chapel with a gift for encouraging others in the Hope of Jesus. He worked for Hursh Painting 30+ years. Erma M. Musser, 81, of Ephrata, entered into rest on October 3, 2021 at Wellspan Ephrata Hospital. Born in 1940, she was the daughter of the late Clayton S. and Charlotte (Zimmerman) Zeiset and the wife of the late Alvin H. Musser. She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Earl, Ellis, and Harold Zeiset and by a brother-in-law, E. Paul Weaver III. Surviving are: four brothers, Henry (Gladys) Zeiset, Reuben (Janet) Zeiset, Luke (Teresa) Zeiset, Clayton (Yvonne) Zeiset; six sisters, Rachel (Leroy) Martin, Naomi (Wilmer) Horst, Mary (Murray) Martin, Miriam Weaver, Judy (Nelson) Zimmerman, Charlotte (James) Allgyer; two sisters-in-law, Lois Zeiset, Esther Kennel; three children, Shawn (Amy) Musser, Tim (Amber) Musser, Sherri (Alex) Battaglia; Laura, one of many foster children, and eight grandchildren, Kathleen, Caleb, Natalie, Clayton, Elli, Aiden, Andrew, and Anthony.
She was employed at Hospice of Lancaster County for many years and most recently at Shady Maple Smorgasbord. She enjoyed serving people, spending time with her family, crocheting, word games, and putting puzzles together. Musser, Harvey S.
December 2, 1927 - December 6, 2021
Harvey S. Musser, 94, of Denver, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021. Born in Brecknock Twp., he was a son of the late Noah & Mary (Sauder) Musser and the devoted husband to Ada Alverta Musser for 73 years, until her passing in 2020.
Harvey started out as a young farmer. He later established a community picnic pavilion and then started with 25 campsites which he grew into the popular, local, 200-campsite destination known as Hickory Run Campground. He and his wife Alverta operated the campground for many years until selling it in 1974. Harvey worked in maintenance and deliveries at the former Hazelton Research Products, Inc. in Denver. Woodworking was a big part of his life, he made furniture and special crafted gifts for his family and friends. Harvey was a man of faith and he and his wife were founding members of Bethany Grace Fellowship. Faith and family were most important to him. He enjoyed family gatherings at the cabin, hunting and playing golf until he was 89. He was kind, generous, and always willing to give a helping hand.
He is survived by four children, Marlin Musser (Pat) of Brickerville, Barry Musser (Carol) of Reinholds, Robin Musser (Candy) of Denver, & Victoria Wallace (Dan) of Denver; ten grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother, Roman Musser and three sisters, Lucy Rutt, Edith Weiler, and Edna Hollinger.
A viewing will be held Mon., Dec. 13th from 10 to 11 a.m. at Bethany Grace Fellowship Church, 400 Reading Rd., East Earl, and the service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Marian B. Musser, 83, of the Richland Christian Home, formerly of Myerstown, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 in the Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA. She was the wife of the late Samuel G. Musser who died July 6, 2018. She was born in Warwick Township, Lancaster County on October 12, 1937, daughter of the late Melvin and Edwina (Bowers) Weaver.
Marian was a member of the Hamlin Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference.
She is survived by children, Lena Mae Hoover and husband Chester of Ephrata; S. Gerald Musser and wife Karen (Nolt) of Palmyra; Edwina Brubacker and husband David of Loyal, WI; Carolyn Brubacker and husband Willard of Stratford, WI; Jeanette Martin and husband Marlin of Saguache, CO; 30 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Weaver and wife Erla (Hurst) of Ephrata; sisters, Ella Hurst wife of the late Marvin of Fivepointville; Pauline Sensenig and husband John of Nottingham; brother-in-law, Earl Ray Sensenig of New Holland. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Sensenig and two infant brothers.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Hamlin Mennonite Church, 2284 Mt. Zion Road, Lebanon, PA. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing on Sunday from 5 PM to 8 PM at Hamlin Mennonite Church.
